As a member of the Council we can change public perception and reposition the motorcoach as the safest, greenest, most luxurious, affordable and memorable way to travel across North America.

To gain a better sense for the Motorcoach Council's mission, goals, objectives, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats see our Strategic Plan 2008.

Note: The Motorcoach Council is a non-political entity that is not directly affiliated with the ABA, UMA, IMG or any other associations. Because we share common goals to get people out of their cars, and to educate the public about the usage, selection and benefits of motorcoach transportation, we therefore support one another (manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, operators, associations, etc.) in this public interest campaign designed to reach the traveling public with our messages and increase ridership.

Did You Know?

  • Motorcoaches provide cost-effective mobility to millions of Americans at virtually no cost to taxpayers, unlike other transportation sectors
  • Motorcoaches emit the least carbon dioxide per passenger mile when compared to other forms of transportation
  • One motorcoach spending one night at a destination generates as much as $11,660 for that local economy in meals, lodging, and other spending
  • Motorcoaches account for 751 million passenger trips annually, moving more people in some years than commercial airlines do

Who We Are

The Motorcoach Council is a non-political coalition of motorcoach operators, associations, manufacturers, suppliers and travel / tourism friends pulling together for the betterment of the industry as a whole, thus creating increased public awareness and use of coach transportation.

Common Goals

Because we share common goals to get people out of their cars, and to educate the public about the usage, selection and benefits of motorcoach transportation, we therefore support our partners (manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, operators, associations) in this public interest campaign designed to reach the traveling public with our messages and increase ridership.

Join Us

To date, we have the full support of our industry's national associations: the UMA, ABA, and Motorcoach Canada, as well as 90 motorcoach operators, and numerous state associations.
